D.A.R.E.
Programs
The primary goal of D.A.R.E. is the prevention of substance abuse
and involvement in violence among school children. D.A.R.E. accomplishes
this goal by:
- Providing
students with accurate information about alcohol and drugs.
- Teaching
students how to say "no" to drugs while providing alternatives
to drug use
- Teaching
students decision-making skills and about the consequences of
their behavior
- Building
students’ self-esteem and teaching them to resist peer pressure
To this end, we have developed a number of programs which challenge
our kids` thinking abilities, enforce positive peer influence, and
help them reinforce for themselves and between each other, their
own need to resist drug abuse.

Since
State funding for DARE has been cut, we must rely exclusively
on donations.
Thanks to the scores of individuals and families that have
responded to our funding crisis. |
